Hughes Recruitment & Strategy Collective is pleased to present an exciting opportunity on behalf of our client.

Position Title: Civil Project Manager

Location: Saskatoon, SK

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Our Client

PBN Construction is more than a construction company. Proudly Indigenous-owned, PBN has grown from a northern-focused operation into a diversified, Saskatchewan-based organization with a strong and expanding footprint across the province. From large-scale earthworks to complex, multi-million-dollar infrastructure and mining support projects, PBN is known for reliability, safety, and a commitment to doing things the right way.

Beyond traditional construction, PBN plays a critical role in supporting mining operations, delivering project management, site supervision, underground construction, maintenance, and heavy equipment operation. Their teams work where the action is: in high-performance, industrial environments that demand precision, safety, and teamwork.

At the core of PBN’s success is a culture rooted in accountability, continuous improvement, and pride in craftsmanship. If you’re a skilled trades professional who values safety, respects the work, and takes ownership of doing the job right, you’ll fit right in.

The Opportunity

The job starts long before the first machine hits the ground.

There’s a site to plan, a schedule to build, and a hundred moving pieces that all need to come together at exactly the right time. Crews, equipment, materials, timelines, each one critical, each one dependent on the other. And when the work begins, there’s no pause button.

This is where you lead.

As a Civil Project Manager, you’re the one holding it all together. You’re on-site, in the field, and in the details, anticipating challenges before they surface and making the calls that keep everything moving forward. You’re balancing safety, budget, timelines, and quality, knowing that every decision has an impact on the crew, the client, and the outcome.

Some days, you’re walking the site, aligning teams and ensuring the plan is clear. Other days, you’re deep in budgets, managing costs and navigating change orders. And in between, you’re solving problems no one saw coming, because that’s the nature of the work.

It’s fast-paced. It’s demanding. And it’s incredibly rewarding.

As a Civil Project Manager, you will work collaboratively and are responsible for:

1. Project Planning & Execution

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Manage change orders and ensure financial accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support forecasting and financial planning for both internal and external reporting.

3. Reporting & Stakeholder Management

  • Produce accurate and timely project reports and client invoices.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Provide ongoing updates on project progress, risks, and performance.

4. Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure all work meets established quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, document, and manage changes in scope (CORs) in a timely manner.

5. Safety Leadership

  • Implement and enforce safety protocols across project sites.
  • Provide training, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
  • Champion a strong safety culture among all workers and stakeholders.
