Title: Site Project Manager

Location: Athabasca Basin, SK | Camp Accommodation and Travel Allowance

Shift Schedule: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, 2 travel days

Our Client

PBN Construction is more than a construction company. Proudly Indigenous-owned, PBN has grown from a northern-focused operation into a diversified, Saskatchewan-based organization with a strong and expanding footprint across the province. From large-scale earthworks to complex, multi-million-dollar infrastructure and mining support projects, PBN is known for reliability, safety, and a commitment to doing things the right way.

Beyond traditional construction, PBN plays a critical role in supporting mining operations, delivering project management, site supervision, underground construction, maintenance, and heavy equipment operation. Their teams work where the action is: in high-performance, industrial environments that demand precision, safety, and teamwork.

At the core of PBN’s success is a culture rooted in accountability, continuous improvement, and pride in craftsmanship. If you’re a skilled trades professional who values safety, respects the work, and takes ownership of doing the job right, you’ll fit right in.

The Opportunity

Every successful construction project has a leader who sees the full picture from the first estimate to final close-out.

As a Site Project Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day management and delivery of construction projects on site. You’ll lead teams, coordinate resources, manage budgets, and ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in full alignment with contract requirements.

You’ll work closely with Superintendents, Project Coordinators, subcontractors, and clients — acting as the central point of coordination across all aspects of the project. From planning and procurement to execution, change management, and reporting, your leadership will ensure that every moving part comes together.

This is a role for someone who is confident making decisions, proactive in solving problems, and committed to delivering high-quality results in demanding construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

As a Facilities Assistant, you will work collaboratively and are responsible for:

1. Project Planning & Resource Management

  • Develop and manage project bids, proposals, tenders, budgets, and contracts.
  • Create and maintain project schedules and work plans using MS Project or client systems.
  • Identify and coordinate required labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Procure materials and manage subcontractor engagement.
  • Assign responsibilities across site teams to ensure efficient execution.

2. Project Execution & Controls

  • Oversee all construction activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Track and control project costs, minimizing risk and maintaining financial performance.
  • Manage project changes, ensuring proper documentation and communication across stakeholders.
  • Coordinate material and equipment deliveries to support project timelines.
  • Ensure quality management processes are implemented and followed.
  • Conduct regular site visits and monitor project progress.
  • Lead or participate in site meetings and ensure key information is captured and actioned.
  • Maintain document control processes and ensure all project documentation is complete and organized, including close-out documentation.

3. Leadership & Team Development

  • Supervise Site Supervisors, Project Coordinators, and site personnel.
  • Support performance management, including reviews and progressive discipline.
  • Maintain high levels of morale, productivity, and safety across teams.
  • Support training initiatives and identify development opportunities for team members.

4. Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with clients through regular communication and transparency.
  • Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment.
  • Ensure all reporting (timecards, logs, incident reports, inspections) is accurate and submitted on time.
  • Support business development through strong project delivery and client engagement.

5. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with OH&S regulations, company policies, and client requirements.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and lead by example on site.
  • Ensure all site activities meet regulatory and contractual obligations.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • 10–15 years of industry experience in construction, with 5–10 years in a supervisory or project management role.
  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (asset).
  • Strong knowledge of civil/earthworks and building construction practices.
  • Proven experience managing budgets, cost control, and project financials.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of OH&S regulations and site safety practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools (MS Project preferred).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • You are a confident leader who takes ownership, builds strong teams, and delivers projects with precision and accountability.

What Our Client Offers
